The ICAVI Vibrating Grate combustion system was developed to provide greater operational stability, thermal efficiency, and flexibility in the use of different types of biomass. Its operation is based on a vibratory system that promotes the continuous and uniform movement of fuel over the grate, ensuring better distribution of the material during combustion and greater energy efficiency. The fuel bed is supported by a water-cooled finned tubular wall, similar to a boiler furnace, providing high thermal resistance and greater operational safety. The vibratory movement is transmitted to the grate by means of a mechanical assembly with an eccentric shaft and rigid bar, allowing adjustment of frequency and intensity according to the characteristics of the fuel used. The air distribution system is carried out through independent chambers located under the grate, ensuring adequate control of combustion in different regions of the bed and better efficiency in the thermal process. One of the main advantages of the ICAVI Vibrating Grate is the uniform distribution of fuel over the grate, significantly reducing the risk of ash sintering and contributing to greater operational stability, less need for interventions, and better combustion performance. This technology is suitable for applications that require high operational flexibility and the use of biomass with different physical characteristics and moisture levels.
