Hybrid Boiler

Hybrid Boiler ICAVI (ICFC/ICFB) aims to meet the market demand for medium-sized generating units, operating in varied pressure and temperature ranges, with high thermal efficiency and low operating cost, having as basic characteristics the construction of the two-pass body in the gas circuit, with expanded tubes, fuel burning through a reciprocating grate, with a furnace and post-burning chamber lined with refractory bricks, in order to ensure complete combustion. The great differential of the ICAVI fire tube boilers is their robust dimensioning that allows sudden variations in the steam flow without changing the pressure, thus providing more reliability to the processes, since all the equipment in the set operates according to the automation setting.

Combustion systems:

  • Fixed grid; Reciprocating grid;
  • Gas / oil / powder burners as complementary fuel.

Application:

  • Saturated or superheated steam for industrial processes in general;
  • Superheated steam for electricity generation and cogeneration.

The walls of the ICAVI boilers are all built with panels of finned tubes, which makes the wall highly resistant and shielded against gas leakage and external air intake.

In the internal part of the furnace and post-firing walls, refractory bricks are installed with a perfect fit on the finned walls, thus allowing a greater transfer of heat from the refractory to the tubes. The same refractories fit together, creating resistance when applied and anchoring them to the finned walls.

Acceptance of fuels with a high degree of humidity, variations in fuel granulometry and due to the large mass of fuel on the grill, stability in combustion and boiler load. The design of the heat exchange areas had the objective of providing sufficient safety margins to meet the production peaks, to compensate for the thermal resistance caused by normal soot films that will eventually adhere to the tubes, guaranteeing the production of steam and the expected efficiency throughout the period of operation.

The convection section was calculated with an adequate speed so as not to allow sedimentation of the solid particles possibly contained in the gas, but at levels that ensure no risk of erosion at the entrance of the gases.

The circulation of water / steam between the main body and the furnace / post-combustion chamber is ensured by the conservative use of quantities of downcomers and risers.
